About 1965 General Motor’s Employees agreed to a weekly payroll deduction to build a community center for retirees and the elderly. Other individuals and businesses also contributed toward building costs of what became the Rangeline Retirees Center. Today
it is legally Rangeline Community
Center, Inc. We are a 501(C3).
Over the years the 12,824 Sq. Ft ADA accessible building has served as a community center that hosted weddings, proms, bridal and baby showers, festivals, dances, concerts, many programs
for the elderly, etc.
The center’s financial status has fluctuated from very prosperous down to the financial balance being low enough to cause consideration of closing the building. In March of 2019 a new board was formed and a new beg
inning was launched.
Our first goal was to get the building into a condition that will allow us to produce events that will make the center self-sustaining.
We now have a new heating & cooling system, updated restrooms, and are working to upgrade the landscaping. Future plans include updating the lounge and repairs to the roof.
The future of the Rangeline Community Center is depending on good community stewards; our citizens, our city government and corporations. We hope you will consider donating
toward our efforts to make Rangeline and true Community Center; a place to improve our health, celebrate special events, make new friends, and create memories!

Provide a Community Center for Madison County citizens:
Our number one goal is to provide the Anderson Community with a facility that will serve a wide variety of purposes. While we started out as an organization to serve the retired community, we see the need for much, much more. We host a variety of events, provide our ballroom to members for early morning walking, have regular chair yoga, cardio drumming and line dancing lessons.
We invite you to join our membership.
If you are interested in leadership opportunities at RCC, consider volunteering on one of our many committees. There are also occasional openings for board members, and we need leaders proficient in grant writing, promotion, fundraising, event planning, building management and most importantly accountants and economic advisers, as we plan for the future sustainability of this unique facility.
RCCI offers indoor walking

Chair yoga looks like a better option for seniors with balance issues, looking to start an exercise class slowly, or who feel more confident starting out with the added support with the chair.
Some of the benefits of doing yoga are : reducing stress, decreasing pain, and minimizing fatigue.
Other advantages are: helps with joint lubrication, increases balance, decreases symptoms of menopause and arthritis. https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness-exercise/chair-yoga-for-seniors#1 :
